Talented photographer, George Edgar Simpson set up his first photographic studio in New Zealand in 1925. He ran a successful business, capturing portraits for hundreds of local families until adventure called and he moved his family and his business to London in 1936. Edgars son, Anthony Simpson, joined the family busines in 1938 and they formed a dynamic team, running studios in both Chiswick and Hounslow. They mastered the more modern photographic techniques and were highly sought after, all over London, for a wide range of commercial work along with being successful retailers promoting various camera bands and equipment.
Anthony’s daughter, Charlotte showed a great interest in photography from a very early age and displayed a natural creative flair.
As a third-generation photographer, taught by the best- her father, she used her wealth of experience to set up Hotshots Dubai in 2007, introducing creative yet affordable photography to the emirate.
